woes of drishti enclave reside

Sir,

This is to bring to the attention of the authorities the pressing issues affecting our layout — Drishti Enclave, Basavanapura Road, Vijayanagar IV Stage, II Phase, Mysuru.

Our layout, with 25 residents, is deprived of basic services from the Bogadi Town Panchayat. The issues are as follows:

All our layout roads are almost completely covered and concealed by overgrown bushes and shrubs, creating ideal living spaces for all types of snakes — dangerous and poisonous reptiles. With many small children in the layout, residents are afraid to walk freely. Walking on the road after 6 pm has become extremely risky.

For street lighting, residents are forced to bear the monthly electricity bill themselves. We are deprived of drinking water facilities of any kind. Borewell water availability is very poor.

Our layout park area resembles a mini forest, with absolutely no maintenance.

We request Bogadi Town Panchayat officials to visit our layout at the earliest to understand the ground reality and ensure a speedy resolution of these burning issues.

- H.K. Muralidhara, Honorary President, on behalf of Drishti Enclave Layout Welfare Society, Mysuru, 6.12.2025
