The drain works taken up on the busy Shivarampet Main Road more than a month ago is not completed and is not even going on in a snail’s pace as it has come to a standstill causing a lot of problems to the shopkeepers who have already suffered loss due to the pandemic. The works were stopped by the contractors, who were demanding payment of pending bills from the MCC. With Dasara round the corner, the place, which is located in the heart of the city, is in a pathetic condition and has become an eyesore. The public have urged the authorities concerned to get the drain works completed at the earliest.
