Trunk Shower...

After a strenuous five-kilometre walk from Mysore Palace to Bannimantap, Dasara elephants led by Howdah elephant Arjuna cool their bodies at a special tank set up for the purpose at the Torchlight Parade Grounds. Apart from showering cold water on their own bodies, elephants quench their thirst too. Every time the elephants come here, hundreds of people, especially children throng the Bannimantap Grounds to see the gentle giants. They also interact with mahouts and kavadis.
