This park, which is filled with greenery, is a favourite place for numerous residents of Kuvempunagar ‘M’ Block for their early morning and evening walks. But to take a stroll in the morning, they have to wait for the sunrise or for a evening walk, they have to hurry up finishing their routine works, so that they can make it before sunset. Reason: The existing light poles were removed to install new ones. Unfortunately, the authorities have not bothered to install new poles till date due to which the entire park has plunged into darkness. Residents allege that illegal activities too go on under the cover of darkness and have urged the authorities concerned to take steps to install new light poles soon.
