‘Theppotsava’ at Devikere

The ‘Theppotsava’ of Goddess Chamundeshwari at the Devikere in Chamundi Hill last evening marked the last leg of Dasara-2017. The idol of the deity, placed in a mantap on a boat, went around the lake thrice, providing a visual treat for the devotees. A procession of the deity was held atop the Hill as a prelude to the ‘Theppotsava.’ Soon after the ‘Theppotsava,’ the idol was taken to the temple in a golden palanquin.
