Plea to address bus service issue at Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Circle
Sir,
This is to bring to the attention of KSRTC authorities concerned a recurring problem faced by student bus pass holders at the Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Circle (Hardinge Circle) bus stop in Mysuru. Several KSRTC buses that are supposed to stop for student pass holders are frequently bypassing the stop, causing inconvenience and delays for students commuting to and from our college.
We request the authorities to:
1. Investigate the reasons for buses not honouring student passes at Hardinge Circle.
2. Ensure that all KSRTC services on this route stop for valid student pass holders.
3. Provide a timeline for remedial action and, if possible, a point of contact for further follow-up.
Students rely on these buses for their daily travel and resolving this issue would significantly improve their punctuality and safety. We hope the authorities will visit the bus stop, as students are facing this issue every day. The KSRTC Mysuru Division has not taken any action so far despite our repeated complaints.
