The charm of wide roads in Mysuru is coming to an end due to carts and their customers who park their vehicles without even thinking they might be causing problems for other moving vehicles on the road.
This is also causing major issues for the pedestrians. All the vendors near Vijayanagar Water Tank High Tension ground have now been moved to the parallel streets and Kalidasa Road, which has Hospitals, creating disturbance to the patients’ vehicles and also for the ambulances.
Already, traffic is so heavy near these stretches due to the existing cafes, restaurants, clothing brands, etc.; now, these carts are creating havoc. Lately, I have noticed carts in front of Podar School in Vijayanagar. Imagine the waste they create on road side, in front of hospitals and schools. Serious action is required from the MCC officials, who are already on ‘Operation Footpath Clearance Drive.’
