stop dung dumping menace in bo

Sir,

Civic authorities are seemingly serious to bring back to Mysuru the Cleanest City tag. In actuality, they are guilty of the same laxity which cost our city that tag. The rampancy of dengue in Mysuru, though underplayed because it is the Chief Minister’s home town after all, amply proves that. It’s a no-brainer that mosquitoes, including the variety responsible for causing dengue, breeds where there is stagnant water and garbage. For the last couple of years we have complained to Mysuru City Corporation against irresponsible dumping of sheep dung by a family of shepherds in the open space. No amount of pleading to the offenders has helped, just as no amount of pleading to the authorities has eliminated the nuisance. About a month ago, when the complaint was last lodged telephonically, we were promised prompt action but yet again civic lethargy has manifested. This mail is one final attempt on our part to wake up the slumbering MCC, before we the residents of AIISH and CFTRI Layouts stage a protest against the nuisance and indifference to the nuisance. The place where the dung is dumped daily is right behind the 7th Main handpost, AIISH Layout, Bogadi 2nd Stage (South). The result is that the whole area stinks and breeds flies and mosquitoes. To make matters worse, the family rears scores of sheep right inside their house, making it a grave health hazard to residents in the locality. Has MCC mended the rules to allow such flagrant violations?
