Sree Kalanikethan, a popular saree showroom in Mysuru, celebrated its 40th anniversary yesterday. On the occasion, the showroom, which was located on Kalidasa Road in its initial days and then on the parallel Adipampa Road, shifted to a new location at #2342, 6th Main, 7th Cross, V.V. Ltd., Publisher of Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra, who inaugurated the showroom, taking a look at a saree along with Krupa Sumanth of Impressionz, Asha Vinod, Revathi Reddy (fourth from left), Owner of Sree Kalanikethan and Kaveramma Seshadri, Head of Annapoorneshwari Vaidika Bhavana, Srirangapatna. Sanskrit Scholar Bhanuprakash Sharma was the special invitee. The showroom features Narayanpet Silk, Gadwal Silk, Venkatagiri Silk, Pochampalli Silk and Ikkat, Handloom Village Cotton, Maheshwari Sarees and Silk Cotton (Pattur) among others.
