Rotary Club of Mysore J.P. Nagar, along with Pankaj of Liter of Light, Bengaluru, and a scouts team from France, installed two street-lights at Janata Colony, close to J.P. Nagar in city and provided two families with individual lights. Though the settlement (Janata Colony) with over 400 houses was built for the poor and needy about 15 years ago, only 30 families live there due to non-availability of basic amenities like water, power, toilets, roads and drainages.
