Sir,

Recently, street-lights were partially disconnected for unknown reasons on T.P. Kailasam Road, opposite Sri Sharada Public School, that comes under Bogadi division of CHESCom. As a result, a stretch of wide and short distanced road surrounded by newly-built residential houses becomes pitch dark by evening. Also due to enormous vacant space around this road, umpteen number of serpents move around in search of food after 7 in the evening posing danger to the residents. Meanwhile, some students are using this vacant space for consuming wine under the cover of darkness. At least street- lights may deter them from their sinister activities. It is learnt that streets-lights on this stretch are not metered and have been given direct connection from the pole. Hence, it was disconnected. I request the authorities concerned to provide a DP switch at the point where a resident can operate safely even in rainy season.
