Empty plastic covers, waste papers and other garbage dumped inside a drain on the 3rd Cross near KSCB Colony in Kalyangiri Nagar is hindering the smooth flow of sewage water which has become stagnant and emanating foul smell. Residents alleged that there has been an increase in mosquitoes in the surroundings as the stagnant sewage water had become a perfect place for mosquitoes to breed. The residents have urged the authorities concerned to take steps to get the drain cleaned at the earliest.
