Sir, Many a times accidents are caused owing to the lethargic and careless attitude of the riders. Though every vehicle is provided with side indicators, many motorists seldom use this, inviting avoidable accidents. There are some two-wheeler riders who will turn their neck intermittently before taking a turn. Drivers behind such riders should guess about the impending turn they plan to take. Then there are some riders who will suddenly decide to take a turn unmindful of the vehicles in front of them or following them and they take a turn without switching on the indicators. All these actions invite accidents. Usage of indicators should come to mind automatically. Indicators should be switched on at least ten meters before the planned turn. This will give enough caution to vehicles behind and the riders can take the turn safely. Parents should strictly instruct their wards to use the indicators.
