Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway: ADGP Alok Kumar checks speed limit rule enforcement

ADGP (Traffic and Road Safety) Alok Kumar visited a few stretches of the Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway this noon and interacted with the Police personnel, who are enforcing the speed limit. The ADGP asked the officers from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to monitor the speed limit from 60 to 100 kmph. Even vehicles moving below 60 kmph might cause accidents, he noted. Alok Kumar also expressed relief as the rate of accidents have come down ever since the speed limit rule has been enforced on the Expressway at various intervals with penalties. NHAI Regional Officer Vivek, Mandya SP N. Yatish and others were present.
