This book is the work of Rajmohan Gandhi, a Historian, Biographer and a Prolific Writer. He has an illustrious pedigree. He is the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and C. Rajagopalachari (Rajaji), freedom fighter and the first Governor General of India. He has earlier written the biographies of freedom fighters like Sardar Patel, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan, Rajaji and Mahatma Gandhi. At present he is a Professor at the University of Illinois, at Urbana - Champaign, USA.
