help our crying dustbins !

Sir, I am a resident of Shakthinagar, 7th A Cross, 4th Main. Here, the small little tempo which is supposed to collect our home waste is highly irregular and untimely! Sometimes, it doesn’t come even for one week and if it comes, it is already overloaded and waste keeps dropping all the way it goes. Sometimes it comes at 8 am, sometimes at 10 am and at times at 11 am thus affecting working people like us because we can’t keep the waste outside for long, thanks to dog menace. The day the tempo comes,  we have to clean the front yard of our houses compulsorily as the tempo carries little waste and spills lots of waste in front of our houses! Is there no schedule for the pourakarmikas or are we unaware of it? Will the MCC authorities concerned please take appropriate action to give us a permanent solution to this problem? There is no public dustbin anywhere nearby for us to dispose the waste and as responsible citizens, we are not supposed to dispose the waste anywhere else. What to do with the waste, it starts stinking inside the house! Why this apathy in our heritage city?

- An aggrieved citizen, Shakthinagar, 3.8.2017
