The government that we elect and the machinery only works for itself than for the ultimate beneficiary, which is we the citizen. The other day I witnessed an evidence for the same at the City Railway Station. The car parking facility (if one may call it so) had disappeared suddenly overnight and the ticket booth, the barricades, the attendants all gone. A new face, a new system and chaos of vehicles blocking each other greeted me. It seems suddenly overnight the tender to run the facility was handed over to a new contractor. Result, the previous contractor literally tore down all he had built and took them with him. This made me wonder of the short-sighted projects and facilities for the tax-paying and travelling public. Surely customers of Railways need a better and well-maintained parking facility that is clean, orderly and safe. Not the chaotic dirty place. On behalf of thousands of travelling public, I appeal the authorities concerned to address this problem at the earliest.
