Sir, In the last two months, work was undertaken to lay slabs on either side of Vishwamanava Double Road, starting from Kukkarahalli Lake Junction. A borewell was also sunk and later connected, crossing the Double Road to Kukkarahalli side stretch. Now, the footpath in front of Kukkarahalli side is used for parking two-wheelers, cars, water storage tank, construction accessories, cloth lines using electric poles, corrugated sheet car parking shed, vehicle repair shop — all this on a 100 mts. stretch. As a result pedestrians are forced to use the asphalted road risking their lives. Hope, corrective action is taken on the violators by the authorities concerned.
