Sir, Recently elevated speed- breakers were erected at the junction of Gokulam Road and Hunsur Road and hats off to the authorities concerned for mitigating the woes faced by the motorists at this junction since a long time. Now we can cross this busy junction at ease, with the least fear of dangerously speeding vehicles. A couple of similar elevated speed-breakers are required at the “T” junctions of Kalidasa Road also. Motorists coming down from Vijayanagar side drive at a dangerously high speed, making pedestrians and drivers to cross Kalidasa Road very risky. A couple of years back elevated speed-breakers were in vogue in and around Mysuru and it was really controlling the speeding vehicles. But over a period of time this concept faded out. Elevated speed-breakers are a better choice than metal barricades and unscientific vertical road humps.
