Sir, Traffic signals were installed and operated for a few days near Vijayanagar Water Tank junction a couple of months back. However, these signals are inoperative now. Added to this, the junction is surrounded by various fruits, vegetable, and catering stalls and customers who come here park their two-wheelers on the road towards Surya bakery, thus blocking free movement of vehicles. Further, the unscientific road dividers also makes the situation awkward when city buses take turn towards Surya bakery and stop there, which forcefully blocks vehicles coming behind it. It would be better if the city buses stop in front of the petrol bunk, just few metres away and parking of vehicles restricted at this junction and traffic signals made operative again.
