Dug up footpath covered

Following the publication of the news item in WhatsApp Us column (Star of Mysore dated Feb. 21) under the title ‘Footpath dug up for no reason at Siddarthanagar,’ where the residents had complained that nearly 50 to 60 feet of the footpath on Ananda Marga near Ganapathy Temple was dug up by removing the interlocking tiles for the reasons best known to those who dug it and urging the authorities concerned to take steps at the earliest, the members and office-bearers of Karanji and Siddarthanagar Taxpayers’ Association, who took up the initiative have covered the trench that was dug up and have made way for the pedestrians to walk smoothly besides taking up cleaning of vacant sites in the vicinity.
