Dry leaves being set on fire at Ramakrishnanagar

Dry leaves of trees on the sidewalk at Ramakrishnanagar is being set of fire regularly causing a lot of inconvenience to the residents. Residents say that earlier the dry leaves were collected and then set on fire in an open field but nowadays, the dry leaves are being set on fire in front of houses. Along with dry leaves, plastic and rubber wastes are also being set on fire and the residents are being forced to inhale the toxic smoke emanating from the burning of wastes resulting in children and the elderly suffering from respiratory problems. Authorities concerned are urged to prevent burning of dry leaves along with other wastes for the benefit of all.
