Sir,

I would like to draw the attention of the authorities to the serious problems affecting the residents of our locality. For the past several months, a group of people have been consuming alcohol and engaging in gambling in public places, especially during the evening and night hours.

Their activities create noise, disturb public peace and make it difficult for women, children and seniors to move around safely. The situation has become worse because many street lights in the area are not functioning.

The poorly lit roads provide opportunities for such unlawful activities and increase the risk of accidents and crime.

Despite repeated requests to the local authorities, no effective action has been taken.

As the above menace is not restricted to one area or layout, we request the departments concerned to repair the street lights immediately and urge the Police to take strict action against public drinking and illegal gambling across city.
