This is to draw attention to an open drainage in Rajivnagar 3rd Stage, behind Narayana Hospital, Mysuru, which has become a major concern for residents of the area. We have been facing this issue for a long time and, despite repeated complaints to the authorities, no action has been taken so far.
The open drain has turned into a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other insects, posing a serious health hazard. Stagnant water in the drain emits a foul odour, making it difficult to stay indoors. It is also a major safety risk, particularly for children who play nearby.
In addition, the drain is causing damage to the adjoining road and pavement. We request the authorities to take immediate steps to cover the drain or implement a permanent solution to resolve the issue.
Regular cleaning and maintenance of the drainage system must also be ensured to keep it functional and improve sanitation and hygiene in the area, while safeguarding residents.
