Thousands of devotees stood in long queues to witness the Vardhanti celebrations of Goddess Chamundeshwari atop the Chamundi Hill this morning. The idol of the Goddess was taken around the temple in the Golden Palanquin amidst chanting of hymns and loud cheers by the huge crowd. The Vardhanti will culminate with the performance of Utsava Phalapuja at 8.30 pm followed by Durbar Utsava and Mantapotsava.
