Sir,

The street-lights from Columbia Hospital Junction to Narayana Hospital are totally dead since a long time.  I am a regular commuter on the Ring Road and it is very difficult to ride two-wheelers during nights because of heavy vehicles and four-wheelers zipping past with High Beam Lights on the pitch dark roads. The service roads on either sides with heavy bushes grown is helping the people to fulfil their habits like drinking etc. The ladies riding two-wheelers cannot not use this road which is totally unsafe, and there are possibilities of untoward incident as heavy trucks are parked on the service road with less space to use the service road to travel. This shows the negligence on the part of the authorities towards the maintenance of street-lights especially on Ring Road now connecting to Ooty Road. On behalf of the large number of commuters, I request the authorities concerned to address this problem at the earliest.
