Thirteen scholars were conferred with Datta Peetha titles at the ‘Chaitanya Archana’ programme on the second day of the 8-day 83rd birthday celebrations of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji at the Ashram premises on Nanjangud Road in city yesterday. The awardees — Pt. Sampath Kumar Acharya (Datta Peetha Bandhu), Sri Vishnubhalla Lakshmi Narayana Ghanapathi (Veda Nidhi), Dr. G.V.S. Dattatreya Murthy (Shastra Nidhi), Pt. Vinayak Torvi (Nada Nidhi), Vid. Shashank Subramanyam (Nada Nidhi), Vidu. T.S. Sri Lakshmi (Natya Nidhi), Sri Krishna Murthy (Asthana Shilpi), Gangavaram Vedavathi (Jayalakshmi Puraskar), Geeta Punjala (Jayalakshmi Puraskar), Kamal Kapoor (Datta Peetha Bandhu), Kanteti Srinivas (Datta Peetha Bandhu), S. Nagaraja (Datta Peetha Bandhu) and Suchitha Reddy (Sasya Bandhu) — are seen with Sri Ganapathy Swamiji and Junior Pontiff Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji.
