In a bid to boost the confidence level of COVID patients housed at the COVID Care Centre at Moodalahundi near Varakodu, the health staff dressed in PPE suit danced with the patients on Wednesday and the video of which has gone viral on social media. The Morarji Desai Model Residential School has been converted into a COVID Care Centre, in which 20 COVID positive asymptomatic patients are undergoing treatment. Dr. Rashmi and nurses Manjula and Sumithra are taking care of the patients in one shift, while Dr. Manjunath and nurses Sunanda, Satish, Arunakshi and M.N. Pavithra work in the other shift. It was nurses Manjula and Sumithra, who wore the PPE suits and danced with the patients. The health staff said that most patients become dull while a few other become depressed and hence to keep them lively and active, the health staff make the patients dance to popular Kannada film songs, which also boost their confidence level.
