Independence Day was celebrated in a meaningful manner at Podar International School premises with variety of cultural programmes. The chief guest for the day was Col. Ravi Shirahatti who hoisted the National Flag and inspired the audience with his message of ABCD; A - Ability, B - Behaviour, C-Confidence and D- Discipline. Teachers Lavanya, Martin and Bhat were honoured with ‘Loyalty Milestone Lapels’ badge for having completed five years in this institution. After that, children performed various cultural events; mime on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao,’ speeches in Hindi and Kannada, dances on ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and ‘Unity in Diversity.’ The performances of the children filled the hearts and minds of the audience with immense feeling of patriotism. At the end, Principal Krishna Bangera gave the Presidential address.
