Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, accompanied by Mysuru District Minister S.T. Somashekar, Mayor Tasneem, DC Rohini Sindhuri, City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta and titular head of royal family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, inaugurated ‘Jumboo Savari’ at Palace premises last evening by offering flowers to the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari, the presiding deity of Mysuru, placed inside 750-kg Golden Howdah carried by Abhimanyu flanked by ‘Kumki’ elephants Kaveri and Vijaya. Earlier, the CM performed ‘Nandi Dhwaja Puja’ at Palace North Gate.
