Thousands of devotees took part in Chikka Jathra Mahotsava at Sri Srikanteshwaraswamy Temple in Nanjangud this morning. The Rathotsava took place between 9.25 am and 10.10 am during which three Rathas (chariots) carrying the UtsavaMurthys of deities Ganapathi-Chandikeshwara, Parvathi and Srikanteshwara were taken around in a procession on main thoroughfares of the town. Temple Executive Officer Jagadish flagged-off the Rathotsava. The rituals were performed by a team of temple priests headed by chief priest NagachandraDikshit.
