Buddhist monks offering prayers at Vishwa Jyothi Buddha Vihar near Ashoka Circle (Ballal Circle) as part of Buddha Poornima celebrations in city this morning. Earlier, the monks took out a procession from Mahabodhi Colony in Saraswathipuram to Buddha Vihar. At 5.30 pm today, a function has been organised at Buddha Vihar to celebrate the occasion. MP V. Sreenivasa Prasad will preside. Kalyana Siri Banteji of Vishwa Maithri Buddha Vihar, former Mayors Purushotham and Narayan and others will be present.
