Sir,

In the name of regulating traffic, City Police have erected barricades in and around Sangolli Rayanna Circle (formerly Jockey Quarters Circle) which severely inconvenience the residents of K.C Nagar, J.C. Nagar, Income Tax Layout and other surrounding areas.

If residents of these areas want to go to Siddarthanagar, one has to go up to Rana Pratap Circle and take a U-turn.

Similarly, if those coming from race course side want to go to above mentioned areas, they have to go up to Lalitha Mahal Arch Gate and take a turn.

If the Police wanted to regulate traffic towards Chamundi Hill, they should have erected barricades near Tavarekatte Arch and also beyond JSS Ayurveda Hospital Road which would have allowed residents of above mentioned localities to have easy access to their residences.

By erecting barricades and blocking movement of vehicles, people are put to a lot of inconvenience.

Hence, I request the authorities to remove the barricades at Sangolli Rayanna Circle and avoid inconvenience to the public in general and residents of K.C. Nagar, J.C. Nagar and other surrounding areas in particular.
