I write to sincerely thank Star of Mysore for publishing my ‘Open letter to the City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar’ on Feb. 10 with such prominence and responsibility.
The manner in which it was carried truly demonstrated what I would call the “SOM effect” — when a citizen’s voice is amplified with credibility and purpose, it creates real impact.
I am equally grateful to Madam Commissioner for her gracious and detailed response in Star of Mysore dated Feb. 13, outlining the concrete steps taken by the department while appreciating the urgency of the concerns raised.
Her humility and commitment reflect strong and responsive leadership for Mysuru.
May I also humbly suggest reviving the WhatsApp Readers Connect initiative by Star of Mysore.
It once served as an effective bridge between citizens and officials, keeping Namma Mysuru informed and assured that when something truly matters, it reaches the right authorities — irrespective of who raises it.
My own experience stands as testimony to that belief.
Thank you Star and Madam Commissioner once again for strengthening civic dialogue in our city.
