An instant giant fountain about 30 ft. tall that sprung up from the damaged main water supply pipe on KRS Road this morning is attracting large crowd to the spot. Gallons of precious water is flowing into the big drain and is going waste. Meanwhile, CESC officials, who arrived at the spot, are inspecting the place as there are overhead power cables and transformer nearby. Sources said that though about 45 minutes was over since the fountain sprang up, no officials from the Vani Vilas Water Works (VVWW) had arrived at the spot to plug the leakage, when we went to the Press at 1.30 pm.
