These markets, built with the sole aim of empowering farmers, are in a state of utter neglect. If only the money was judiciously used, our farmers would not have been driven to desperation and take the extreme step of committing suicide. And there was no need for a farm loan waiver if the pro-farmer schemes announced in every budget are implemented in letter and spirit.
