Sir, Many residents in various extensions brazenly encroach public space. It is normal that many convert open spaces in front of their homes as gardens, reducing space for road users. In addition, parking vehicles in front of the shops and other establishments are always a haphazard. Vinaya Marga of Siddarthanagar has become notorious for rash and reckless riding. Most of the car parking space is invariably occupied by two-wheelers, denying four-wheelers space to park. Visits of Tiger Squad to seize vehicles parked illegally is of no use as it is not regular. Unless frequency of Tiger Squad is increased, the chaos will continue. Visitors to the Vinayaka Temple on this road hardly care to park their vehicles in an orderly manner. Added to the existing problems, someone is building a fountain like structure opposite a departmental store which takes away available parking space in front of the Temple. It appears, authorities concerned are not bothered about this problem. It is requested that all departments concerned must keep up their vigil to ensure free movement of traffic, proper parking in designated areas and immediately remove illegal structures/ encroachments.
