aadhaar update at post offices

Sir, Apropos to an article in SOM a few months ago that Aadhaar update is being done at selected Post Offices in Mysuru, I went to the Post Office at V.V. Mohalla to get an update done to my Aadhaar card. The staff here clearly refused saying they are not doing any Aadhaar updates. The lady at the counter however added that this is being done at a bank close to the Post Office. I went to the bank where they assisted me in this regard. However, they added that the Post Office has been sending all members of general public requiring Aadhaar update to their bank. I wonder why Post Office is refusing to do this service?  Are the Post Offices really so busy? Can the Post Master General please take a note and clarify to the public if Aadhaar Update service has been withdrawn?
