Sir, As per Central Government orders, all Telecommunication companies including BSNL are insisting that the users must link Aadhaar number with their mobile number. As a user of a BSNL SIM, I went to the BSNL office to link my Aadhaar number. To my dismay, the system there did not accept my fingerprint. This may be due to reasons like age-related physical changes and wear and tear of finger impression. I also visited some specified Aadhaar centres and there too, the fingerprint was not accepted. Many senior citizens like me are facing such problems. Can the Aadhaar authorities suggest a way out for people like us?
- D. Venkateshaiah,
