Works are under progress to build a fountain around the Circle near Bake Point Junction on Vishvamanava Double Road in Kuvempunagar. There was a Circle here earlier but the MCC demolished it and had erected an ornate pillar with lights, giving more space for motorists. Now, the entire Circle where four roads meet has been dug up to build the fountain causing frequent traffic jams, especially in the peak hours. Several regular commuters called Star of Mysore this morning to express their unhappiness over the unnecessary fountain which would make the busy Circle narrower and lead to accidents.
