Over 20,000 cusecs of water being released from Harangi Reservoir in Somwarpet Taluk of Kodagu district this morning, thanks to heavy rains that has increased inflow into the Dam. The water released from Harangi will reach the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam in Srirangapatna Taluk of Mandya District. Last evening, 5,000 cusecs of water was released and today morning, the outflow was increased to 10,000 cusecs and later stepped up to 20,000 cusecs. The heavy water discharge has led to flooding of several areas in Kushalnagar.
