Mysuru: RDPR (Rural Development and Panchayat Raj) Minister K.S. Eshwarappa said that ZP CEOs will be bestowed with powers to transfer Panchayat Development Officers(PDO) coming under their jurisdiction.
Replying to a question by some members during the question hour in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, Eshwarappa said that the Government will take necessary measures in this direction soon. Maintaining that the confusions and complexities being created by the PDOs have come to the notice of the Government, he said that the Government, taking note of the concerns expressed by several members regarding the functioning of PDOs, has decided to vest powers to ZP CEO’s to transfer PDOs.
