Mysuru: Following the Centre’s scheme to open bank accounts for the unbanked, the Karnataka State Labourers and Daily Wage Labourers Association has organised a free camp to help labourers open Zero Balance bank accounts using Aadhaar cards. The move is meant to ensure they are paid wages on time. Daily wage workers, vegetable and fruit vendors, slum dwellers, construction workers, painters, Savitha Samaja members, Vishwakarmas, household workers and all those who are in un-organised sectors can make use of the camp.
Applications will be given at P. Rajappa Kalyana Mantap, 9/1, 1st Cross, Muniswaminagar, J.P. Nagar last bus stop, Mahadevapura, from Apr.23, according to Association President P. Rajappa.
