Nanjangud: In a tragic incident, a 28-year-old youth died of electrocution at Hemmaragala in Nanjangud taluk on Thursday.
The deceased youth has been identified as S. Mahesh (28), son of Somanna, a local BJP leader.
Mahesh was cleaning his car near his farmhouse in Hemmaragala, when he accidentally trampled upon a fallen live wire and died of electric shock, it is learnt.
He leaves behind his grandmother, parents, a brother, a sister, wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at his native village this afternoon, according to family sources.
