Pramod Halappa, a native of Bilikere in Hunsur taluk in Mysuru district, has bagged the Young Scientist Award given by International Union of Crystallography (IUCr). The award was presented at the 16th Conference of the Asian Crystallographic Association held at Singapore recently. He is currently doing research on Solid State and Structural Chemistry at Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.
