Mysore/Mysuru: To commemorate its Silver Jubilee year, Vishwamanava Yoga Shikshana Samsthe has organised a National-level Yogasana Championship on Dec. 21 at Jaganmohan Palace in city.
Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city on Saturday, Vishwamanava Yoga Shikshana Samsthe President Yoga Kumar said that Dr. Lakshmi Srinivasa Guruji of Shirdi Saibaba Bhiksha Kendra will grace the inaugural function which will be inaugurated by MP Yaduveer Wadiyar at 11 am. Industrialist Govindegowda will preside. MLA G.T. Devegowda, senior journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar, GSS Yogic Research Foundation Founder D. Srihari and others will be the chief guests.
Valedictory will be held at 5 pm. Bebi Mutt Seer Dr. Sri Trinethra Mahanta Shivayogi Swamiji will grace the occasion. Industrialist Narayana Rao will preside. Former Minister M. Shivanna, Cauvery Hospital Medical Officer Dr. Dayanand, Mysore Yoga Okkuta Hon. President T. Jalendra Kumar and others will be the chief guests.
The Championship will be held in eight categories from 8 years to 56 years.
Winner of ‘Champion of Champions’ contest will conferred with the title 'Vishwamanava Champion,' a trophy and a certificate.
