Mysore/Mysuru: Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterised by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviours, speech and nonverbal communication. World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD), observed on April 2 every year, aims to put a spotlight on the hurdles that people with autism and others living with autism face every day.

In an attempt to create awareness on this malady, District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC), under the aegis of Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens, had organised a webinar recently at the centre premises.
