Mysuru: Indian Society of Anaesthesiology, Mysuru Chapter, celebrated World Anaesthesia Day - 2017 (to commemorate the use of Ether gas for the first time in the world on 16th October 1846) at a Hotel here recently. Senior Anaesthetist Dr. Manjunath inaugurated the function. Baby Ruhani rendered the invocation. Dr. Kavya Aradhya briefed about the history of Anaesthesia. Dr. D.S. Vijayakumar spoke on awareness of anaesthesiology among public. Senior anaesthesiologists Dr. Galagali, Dr. Sheshagiri Rao and Dr. Sheela Rao, were honoured on the occasion. Mysuru Chapter President Dr. Mahadev presided. Secretary Dr. Prathibha welcomed. Treasurer Dr. Anilkumar proposed a vote of thanks. The function concluded with a cultural show by Dr. Sham Prasad, Dr. Chinthana, Dr. Akhila, Dr. D.S.Vijayakumar and Dr. Madhav.
