The Department of Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, is organising a workshop on ‘Industry Ready Competency’ under the sponsorship of Technical Education Quality Improvement Prog. (TEQIP-III) from Dec.23 to 28. The workshop will be inaugurated on Monday by chief guest Dr. Ashok Rao, Director, NIE, at Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Hall, Administrative Block, NIE, at 9 am. Dr. N. Suresh, Dean (AA) and Dr. G. Sarangapani, Chairman, TPAC, NIE, will be the guests of honour. Dr. G. Ravi, Principal, NIE, will preside. The workshop will provide greater insights into various aspects and preparedness of the students to work in industry. This event will cover various aspects of student’s competency towards industry need and readiness. The targeted/participating audiences will be the final year students from Dept. of Civil Engineering. Technical talks will be delivered by resource persons having more than 25 years of industry experience. Dr. K.C. Manjunath, Dept. Head and Dr. H.S. Prasanna will be the coordinators of the event.
