Mysuru: A one-day workshop on ‘Emerging Trends in Research’ was jointly organised by the Department of History, Library, Research Cell and IQAC of SBRR Mahajana First Grade College, Mysuru recently. Dr. T.K. Umesh, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Mysore (UoM), in his inaugural address opined that ‘Research should focus on the betterment of society and humanity. He added that the solutions through research must be found for man - man conflict and man - nature conflict.
He also said documentation is an important process of careful research. He expressed regret that research articles by Indian scholars fail to get international recognition due to lack of originality in approach and urged for the need of a good and decent e-platform for sharing documentation and research.
